Frequently asked questions
How Do You Get My Products?
Customers simply ship their items to my studio address (provided once your booking or quote is confirmed). I’ll handle them with care and return them once the project is complete.
How Can I Reach You?
Just send me an email or a quick message through the Get In Touch page — I handle all messages personally, so you’ll always be speaking directly with me.
What size of products can you shoot?
I specialise in small to medium-sized products that can be shipped to my studio. I don’t work with models — my focus is high-quality still product photography that makes your items shine. The maximum set size I can accommodate is around one metre (about 40 inches).
Why Don’t You Have a Phone Number Displayed?
I handle everything myself — from shooting and editing to looking after clients — so my time is carefully balanced. If I’m on the phone, I can’t be behind the camera, and if I’m shooting, I can’t answer calls. Email helps me stay organised and ensures nothing gets missed. My phone number is reserved for established clients who may need to reach me urgently.
Do You Shoot Videos?
Not at this stage. I specialise in photography only, pictures are my thing! If video becomes part of my services in the future, I’ll be sure to shout about it.
Can you shoot our products at our location?
Absolutely! I’m happy to come to you if it makes things easier. I offer on-location shoots within about 20 miles of Harrogate for an additional £50 flat fee, which covers travel and setup.
Happy To Sign An NDA?
Absolutely! I understand how important it is to keep your ideas safe and confidential, and I’m happy to sign an NDA to give you peace of mind.
How Long Will It Take To Get My Photos?
Turnaround time depends on the size and complexity of your order. For plain or white background product shots, it’s usually up to 5 working days from when I receive your items. More complex shoots may take longer — I’ll always give you an estimated timeline before starting.
Can I Request Specific Angles Or Lighting?
Yes! If you have a particular vision for your product shots, please share it with me. I’ll work with your ideas to make sure the images match your expectations.
How Many Images Will I Receive Per Product?
As many as you like! Whether you want 10 shots from every angle or just a few key views with a couple of close-ups, I’ll make sure your products are captured exactly how you imagine.
What Happens If I Don’t Like The Photos?
No worries! That’s exactly why I send you proofs first - so you can take a look before anything is final. If there’s a photo you’re not sure about, just reply to my email with the image number and a quick note about what you’d like adjusted. I’ll do my best to make it right so the final results feel spot on for your needs.
Do You Provide Styling Or Props?
Yes! For lifestyle shots, I use props and styling just like you’ll see in my portfolio. These setups take a bit more time and creativity, which is why lifestyle shots are priced a little higher than standard plain-background images.
What Types Of Files Will I Get?
Your final images are usually delivered in high-resolution JPEG format, perfect for websites and online shops. If you’ve requested transparent backgrounds, those files will be provided as PNGs.
How Will I Receive My Photos?
Once your invoice is fully paid, I’ll email you a secure download link where you can easily access and save your final images.
What If I Need A Rush Order?
I don’t currently offer official rush order options as I’m still working out my schedule. That said, if you’re on a tight deadline, please get in touch — I’ll always do my best to accommodate and see if we can find a solution that works for both of us.
Who Pays For The Cost Of The Return Parcel?
The price of sending your parcel back will be included in your invoice.
Do I Need To Pay A Deposit?
To secure your order, I ask for a 30% deposit. After the shoot, I’ll send you proofs to review. Once you approve them, I’ll issue the final invoice for the remaining balance, and as soon as it’s paid, you’ll receive your download link for the images.
How does your pricing and payment process work?
Once you fill out the enquiry form, I’ll review your project details and send a personalised quote. After you accept it and pay the deposit, I’ll start shooting. When your photos are ready, I’ll review everything and adjust the final invoice if needed — for example, if we ended up using fewer images than the original package. That way, you only ever pay for what you actually receive.
